Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are supporting and promoting the “Don’t Worry Take Action Day” by running a series of Stress Awareness sessions across all 7 of their hospital sites. The sessions will be facilitated by a multidisciplinary team that includes, the stress project manager, senior nurse manager for occupational health, health and safety advisor, staff councillor, and HR managers. This is just one of a number of initiatives that will be run to reduce stress within the hospital. These initiatives are supported by the Chief Executive and Executive Team.

DEVON

Devon County Council are again supporting NSAD for 2008.
A drop in clinic has been arranged for staff to come and get advice about managing stress & worry, and at the same time, have a mini health check accompanied with professional advice on health, nutrition and how this can be improved to reduce the risk of experiencing the symptoms of stress and worry.

The clinics will be held at County Hall, room A108 in Exeter from 9.30 – 12.30 and again at the Barnstaple Civic Centre, in the Yoe room from 2.30 – 4.30.

St John Ambulance has launched a Stress Awareness Course to coincide with National Stress Awareness Day on 5 November 2008.
